Membership in the UAE Alliance For Climate Action
On World Environment Day 2023, Advanced Media joined the UAE Alliance for Climate Action (UACA), an alliance of stakeholders to increase momentum of Paris-aligned targets and see greater collaboration, tailored for the UAE by Emirates Nature-WWF and endorsed by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
On Transport Day during COP28, Advanced Media joined the UACA’s Road2.0 pilot program with the goal to support the UAE in reducing emissions linked to the transport sector and to accelerate the transition to green road transport alternatives through early and tangible action from organizations across the UAE transport ecosystem by integrating Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs).

Partnership with DHL Express to use Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Advanced Media and DHL Express have partnered to reduce carbon emissions using DHL’s GoGreen Plus service. This service, part of DHL plan to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, allows Advanced Media to cut emissions by 10% through Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). DHL’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel, a renewable fuel sourced from sustainable materials, replaces traditional jet fuel to lower aviation carbon footprints and advance net-zero goals. DHL will provide support with emission reduction reports, verified by an independent organization.

Combating Food Waste and Composting with The Waste Lab
Advanced Media has partnered with The Waste Lab, a women- owned, UAE-based, and impact-driven startup, to tackle the issues around food loss and waste and to raise awareness within the community together - through nature-based composting and repurposing solutions - for the benefit of the local soil, food and environment.
Annually, the UAE disposes 3.27 million tonnes of food which end up in landfills, equivalent to the weight of 6.5 Burj Khalifas. This comes at a total cost of Dhs13bn per year.
Addressing target 12.3: By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses.
E-Recycling with eFate
On World Environment Day 2022, Advanced Media announced its partnership with UAE-based electronic waste management company, eFate. E-waste is considered the fastest-growing waste stream in the world and 83 percent of electronic waste is not recycled. On average, a UAE resident generates 17.2 kg of e-waste annually. It is estimated in 2030 the annual amount of e-waste will surpass the weight of 148 Burj Khalifas.

The AMT Scholarship with SAE Institute in Dubai, UAE
In March 2022, on its 20th Anniversary, Advanced Media Trading announced that it would be offering an annual scholarship of 50,000 dirhams to three prospective students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Film at SAE, provided they meet a specific admission criteria.
Eligible students will also have to undergo an interview in order to determine their level of experience, film literacy and passion to pursue the degree and a career in the film industry. Find out more by visiting: dubai.sae.edu

Sustainable Stationery, Office Supplies and Other Steps
Advanced Media has committed to reducing unnecessary use of single-use plastic and paper. Recycling stations have been placed around the Showroom and Warehouse/Service Center to recycle more efficiently and properly. Ecofriendly, biodegradable, and quality alternatives have been introduced to minimalize the effects of our consumption on the environment and the community. Further steps have also been taken to educate the employees and customers on the importance of supporting creative local initiatives aimed at protecting the environment.
