Laowa 24mm T14 2X Periprobe lens brought a new shooting possibility to the market. It is widely used in wildlife, table-top shootings, advertisements, and other creative works. The new 24mm T14 2x Macro Periprobe brings the probe lens to another level. Users could now explore more possibilities and shoot in a more handy way.
The new Periprobe inherits all the features from the old probe lens. It features 85 Degree AoV with a periscope and a very close working distance, which features a bug-eye perspective. The 2x magnification allows for capturing subjects of different sizes with details. Users could poke the long and waterproof barrel into a tight space and underwater to obtain a unique perspective. The LED Ring Light provides an extra light source. Users could also switch the 90 Degree periscope back to the 0 Degree straight scope. The lens could rotate 360 Degree along the axis by using the clutch mechanism to unlock the orientation ring. Additional accessories can also be installed at the tip of the lens.

Bug-eye perspective
The lens is able to focus really close to the subject i.e. 2cm/ 0.8" at 2x magnification. In the meantime, it has a wider perspective i.e. 85 Degree than other macro lenses to create a 'Bug-eye perspective'.
2x Magnification
With 2x magnification, users would have higher flexibility to shoot subjects of different sizes. More details can be captured with higher magnification.
Deep depth of field
The Periprobe has a wider perspective than other telephoto macro lenses and the aperture range starts from T14 to T40; therefore, it would have a greater depth of field at close distances. It is beneficial when shooting wildlife and in a studio as more information of the background can be included.
Long & tubular lens barrel
The long and tubular lens barrel makes itself more accessible to different subjects. With the 40cm/15.7" long barrel, you could poke it into different tight spaces like tree holes, Lego houses, etc. Users could also stay at a safe distance from the subjects.
Waterproof front barrel
The front barrel of the periprobe is waterproof so users could make underwater shots without a housing to get unique shots that other lenses cannot do.
360 Degree Rotation
Use the clutch mechanism to unlock the orientation ring for adjustment.
Interchangeable lens tube
Users could also switch the 90 Degree periscope back to the 0 Degree straight probe.
Threaded Tip (1/4 20)
The threaded tip allows for the mounting of accessories like lighting or provides an attachment point for stabilization.
